Scattered storms are possible for the Fourth of July holiday.

EM NGUYEN. ABC NEWS WASHINGTON LUKE WERE ALL ZEROED IN ON THE HOLIDAY AND THE WEATHER. I KNOW IT’S LOOKING BETTER THE MORE WE LOOK AT IT, TOO. SO FOR THE AFTERNOON AND THE EVENING HOURS, IT’S LOOKING REALLY GOOD. THE MORNING IS STRAY. SHOWER MAY ROLL THROUGH HERE, SO IF YOU’RE GOING TO BE OUT EARLY, AT LEAST YOU MIGHT WANT THE RAIN JACKET INTO THE AFTERNOON. NO NEED TO HAVE THE UMBRELLA OR THE RAIN JACKET WITH YOU IF YOU’RE GOING TO BE OUT LATE TONIGHT, THOUGH, THAT MIGHT BE A DIFFERENT STORY. WE HAVE THESE STORMS MOVING IN OUT WEST, A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH FOR ONLY ONE COUNTY IN OUR VIEWING AREA. THAT’S PLATTE COUNTY. AND YOU CAN SEE THESE STORMS KIND OF GETTING NEAR COLUMBUS NEAR YORK. RIGHT NOW. THEY’RE ENTERING INTO OUR VIEWING AREA SOON, BUT THE BIG TREND HERE WITH THESE STORMS, YOU CAN KIND OF SEE IT BOWING OUT HERE DOWN SOUTH. THEY’RE STARTING TO SURGE SOUTHWARD. SO IT’S GOING TO MISS A LOT OF OUR VIEWING AREA. IT’S MORE HEADED TOWARDS FAR NORTHEASTERN KANSAS AT THIS POINT. WE’LL SHOW YOU HERE WITH STORM PREDICTOR. YOU CAN SEE THE STRONGER STORMS REALLY ON THE SOUTHERN FRINGE OF THIS. AND LOOK HOW THEY DIVE SOUTHWARD. SO SOME OF IT WILL GET INTO OUR VIEWING AREA. WE’RE GOING TO GET THE NORTHERN PART OF IT, WHICH IS LIKELY THE LESS SEVERE PART. AND THE STRONGER STORMS STAYING DOWN SOUTH. SO MAYBE NEAR GAGE COUNTY TOWARDS RICHARDSON COUNTY AND NEAR FALLS CITY, THOSE ARE THE AREAS THAT MIGHT SEE A STRONGER STORM TONIGHT, BUT BY 6 A.M., NOT LOOKING TOO BAD. LOOK AT THESE SHOWERS THAT COME IN AROUND 9 A.M., BY 11 A.M. BY 1 A.M., OR EXCUSE ME BY 1:01 P.M. THEY’RE OUT OF HERE. AND WE JUST HAVE SOME CLOUDS THAT ARE GOING TO FIZZLE IN AND OUT. AND THEN WE HAVE SUNNY SKIES REALLY, FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE DAY, AND THEN CLEAR SKIES FOR THE LATER HOURS FOR THE FIREWORKS. IN TERMS OF FLOODING RIGHT NOW, MISSOURI RIVER IS NOW BELOW FLOOD STAGE. WE’RE GOING TO BE AT 20FT ON JULY 10TH. THAT’S WHEN WE’RE AT NO FLOOD STAGE AT ALL. MINOR IN PLATTSMOUTH. WE’LL BE BACK TO NORMAL AT 24FT. IT LOOKS LIKE AROUND JULY 5TH, AND THEN JULY 7TH FOR NEBRASKA CITY, WHERE THEY’LL BE AT 16FT BY THEN. THEN THEY’LL BE BACK TO NORMAL. HERE’S A LOOK OUTSIDE RIGHT NOW. SOME CLOUDS IN THE VIEWING AREA. NOW, AS THOSE STORMS ARE APPROACHING US LOOKING OKAY OUTSIDE OUR TEMPERATURE 78 DEGREES, A BIT MUGGY, DEW POINT AT 66, AND THE WIND OUT OF THE SOUTH AT AROUND SEVEN MILES PER HOUR, 73 NEBRASKA CITY, SHENANDOAH. RED OAK, CRESTON 75 FOR TEKAMAH 74. IN FREMONT, 73, IN NORFOLK TONIGHT, BOTTOMING OUT AT ABOUT 66 DEGREES. SOME OF YOU GOING TO SEE SOME SHOWERS AND STORMS TONIGHT AS WE GO THROUGH THE OVERNIGHT HOURS. BUT IT DOESN’T LOOK LIKE IT’LL BE ALL TOO SEVERE AT THIS POINT. THE BETTER CHANCE OF A SEVERE STORM IS OUT WEST RIGHT NOW. HERE’S OUR 4TH OF JULY FORECAST 8 A.M. 10 A.M. THAT’S WHERE YOU MAY SEE A SHOWER OR STORM. AFTER THAT, WE JUST GET BETTER AND BETTER AND WE START SEEING MORE CLEAR SKIES. 79 FOR THAT HIGH TOMORROW, A FEW OF US MIGHT TOUCH 80, DEPENDING ON HOW FAR SOUTH YOU ARE, BUT A PRETTY COMFORTABLE TEMPERATURE AND OVERALL A GOOD 4TH OF JULY FORECAST HERE. IF YOU’RE GOING TO BE OUT FOR THE AFTERNOON FRIDAY, 79 FOR THE HIGH AGAIN AND THE WEEKEND DOESN’T LOOK BAD EITHER. IT’S IMPACT WEATHER BOTH DAYS, BUT THE STORMS ARE GOING TO LIKELY BE LATE SATURDAY EVENING INTO THE OVERNIGHT HOURS AND SOME SUNDAY MORNING AS WELL. THAT’S WHY THERE’S AN IMPACT ICON FOR BOTH DAYS, BUT IT LOOKS LIKE A GOOD WEEKEND OVERALL. AND THEN STARTING NEXT WORK WEEK, WE LOOK TO BE CLEAR AS WELL. BUT AGAIN, SHOWE
