For more info, visit www.cornejodayfuneralhome.com Bruce, Margaret Penny died on March 11, 2019 in Wichita. She was born in Ponca City, OK on December 31, 1921. She was preceded in death by her parents, Myrl Nuzum Penny and Addie Underwood Penny. She and her five siblings grew up in Lawrence, KS, where she attended Pinckney Elementary School and graduated from KU with a degree in Accounting in 1943. She married Dale W.

Bruce on June 2, 1943, and accompanied him to his service in CT. She worked in the hospital with him while he fulfilled his service to his country in peaceful work as a conscientious objector. Dale died October 20, 2008. Dale and Margaret had four children: Eric Dale Bruce (Celeste), Addie Lou Seabarkrob (Jeffrey), April Margaret Bruce-Stewart (David) and Penny Blythe Shuler (Michael). There are eight grandchildren: Jonah Seabarkrob, Laura Ballard, Audrey and Melody Stewart, Riley and Kellin Bruce, Jennifer Grange and Jimmy Shuler.

There are three great-grand children, and three step-grand children. Prior to having children, Margaret worked in various accounting positions including the Wichita Council of Churches. After her children were born, she continued her accounting including ten years with in Wichita. She was a homemaker, and took art classes after retiring. During her life she traveled extensively in the US and overseas, visited many national parks, camped with the family and visited many attractions.

She was a devoted mother, valued education, open political discourse, enjoyed reading, retold family stories, and passed on the family values to generations. She was a lifelong Christian, and belonged to Fairmount Church for more than 50 years. A memorial will be held at Larksfield Place on April 20, 2019, at 10am. Franz-Bishop, Barbara Alice (French) Age 80, passed away surrounded by her family March 22, 2019. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Jim Bishop; parents, Glenn and Alice French; two brothers-in-law; and infant daughter.

She is survived by her husband, David Franz; children, Diana (David) Thompson and Bill (Stella) Bishop; step-children, David Franz Tim (Sylvia) Franz and Charles Franz; sisters, Glenda Webb, Georgia (Richard) Lankford, and Phyllis (Arthur) Garcia; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family members and friends. A visitation will be held from 1-3 p.m. Thurs. March 28, 2019, with Celebration of Life Service immediately following, both at Resthaven Mortuary. Full obituary at Huson, Ruth Correne 87 years of age, is dancing in eternal love with Jesus and her late husband Morris Milton Huson.

Kirkland, Richard E. 84, son of Tom Kirkland and Edna (Hillebrand) Kirkland, born April 26, 1934 in Minneapolis, Kansas, died peacefully March 21, 2019.

Married Darlene Postlethwaite on September 3, 1955 at Immaculate Conception Parish, Minneapolis, KS. Richard graduated from Kansas State in January 1957 and in 1961 moved to Wichita to join the Missile Division of Beech Aircraft Corp. as an electrical design engineer, retiring in 1992. Through the Beech Flying club he achieved his dream of getting his license, joining Experimental Aircraft He was very active in starting the Young Eagle Program, to give children 8-18 years old their first flight, sharing his love and joy of flying. Flew his Clipped Winged Cubby that he built, and also enjoyed being a soaring pilot.

Had the privilege of joining the great group of aviation enthusiasts in the Wichita Area. He is survived by his wife, Darlene, and four daughters, Sr. Mary Ann, IHM (Joni), Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary of Wichita, Terri Ann Kirkland, Shawnee, KS, Laura Lara (John) of Wichita, Carolyn Andrews (Matt) of Pescadero, CA. Eight grand-children, Mark, Teresa, Beth, Maria and Paul Lara and Chance and Noah Andrews. Preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Evan Lee Lara.

Fred served in the Navy during WWII, was the owner of Body Shop for many years and loved singing, playing the guitar and harmonica with his band, The Frontier Serenaders. Fred was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, George; and his wife, Peggy; and his great- grandson, Riley Edwards. He is survived by his wife of 76 years, Opal; his daughters, Karen (Ben) Foster of Wichita, Kansas and Beverly (Rex) Edwards of Soldotna, Alaska; grandchildren, Brad Stewart (Georgann), Scott Stewart (Sharlene), Bridger Edwards (Kristen), Lydia Edwards, Erika Friedberg (Michael); great-grandchildren, Dakota, Alicia, Blaine, Myla, Mae, and Hazel; great-great- granddaughter, Aurora.
