Section Two CRYSTAL LAKE HERALD Wednesday, September 22, 1976 Section Two Citizens for Life choose Nov. 6 for dinner dance Illinois Citizens for Life are currently conducting their fund raising ad book sale and ticket sale for the annual benefit dinner dance which is to be held at Indian Lake Country Club, Bloomingdale, on Nov. 6. Illinois Citizens for Life is a non sectarian, nonprofit, group formed to present humane alternatives to abortion and to promote the basic right-to-life of every human being. Deadline for ad book sales is Sept. 30, Deadline for ticket sales is Nov. ne 2. Open house to celebrate 85th birthday Frieda Burman An open house will be held on Sunday, Sept. 26, in honor of Frieda Burman's 85th birthday.

Mrs. Burman, who lives at 4908 Burman Crystal Lake, will be 85 on Sept. 27. The open house will take place from 24 p.m. at the home of her son-inlaw and daughter, Mr.

and Mrs. Wilbert Erber, 581 Coventry Crystal Lake. Co-hosting the party are her 3 sons and their wives, Mr. and Mrs. Myron Burman, Mr.

and Mrs. Clarence Burman and Mr. and Mrs. Howard Burman, all of Crystal Lake. Friends, neighbors and relatives of Mrs.

Burman are cordially invited to attend the celebration. Mrs. Burman has 17 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. A member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, she is the widow of the late Fred Burman. She has resided in her present home since she was a bride.

and Mrs. James Kilbury of Bellefontaine, Ohio, and Mrs. Lillian Craig of Belvidere. A wedding dance was held at the Wasco American Legion Hall after the reception. The newlyweds are living in Maple Park after a wedding trip to Wisconsin.

The bride graduated from Kaneland High School in Elburn and works at the St. Charles National Bank as a teller. The groom graduated from Kaneland High School and works for Curtiss Breeding Service at the production center in Maple Park. Marching Tigers begin 'Hoagie' sale The Marching Tiger Band of Crystal Lake High School will be launching their fall "Hoagie" sale Monday, Sept. 27, with the ticket sale by students continuing to Monday, Oct.

4. Delivery by student salesmen is scheduled for Oct. 16. First attempted last spring, the Marching Tiger Band's "Hoagie" sandwich sale was so well accepted by the public that a fall sale seemed only logical. the "Hoagie" is a sandwich similar to the Submarine sandwich and is tasty eaten on delivery or, as many customers last spring discovered, an excellent freezer item.

With the tomato and onion removed, the "Hoagie" may be frozen and served for delicious last minute meals at busy times in the future. The "Hoagie" sells for a donation of $1 and phone orders will be accepted by calling 459-9584, 459-3661, 459-2725. Mail orders may be placed before Oct. 5 by enclosing a check or money order for $1 for each "Hoagie" sandwich in an envelope together with name, address, and phone number, and mailing it to The Marching Tiger Band Boosters, P.O. and Mrs. James Reser Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Cary was the scene on Aug. 21 of the marriage of Debra Klopotek and James Reser. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.

Floren Klopotek of Maple Park, formerly of Cary, and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. 'Donald Reser of Coldwater, Mich. The Rev. Robert Hess performed the 4 p.m.

Homemakers The Crystal Lake Homemakers met Sept. 10 at the home of Marilyn Snodden. Co-hostess was Joan Justice. The lesson for the day related to cooking fish and keeping and storing of fish. The members also reviewed the programs scheduled for the year ahead.
